I am an enthusiastic chess player. Because I play chess for fun during my spare time, I don't have an official ELO rating, and I'm not a member of a chess club. Especially when I move to a new city, I tend to notice giant chessboards and chess places around me. This is what I found so far.

Since January 2014 I'm living in Heidelberg. It's really quieter and smaller here compared to London. Regarding chess places, this is what I found so far:

Chess Online

I find very interesting playing chess on the real battlefield, but playing online is often easier. You can choose your preferred type of game, meet skilled people, play as much as you want, and regardless weather conditions!
